Praying because that's all we can do...

I know life is hard and has rocky valleys.
God is good and I need to accept that...
but Lord...

there is a mother,
who is battling cancer...

there is a father and husband,

who holds his family together with God's grace for his wife.
there are four children...
who have seen more oncology wards than any 10, 9, 3, and 1 year old should see.

Lord, technology has given us a ringside view I'm not sure I want right now...
I'm asking for you and will be posting on other blogs...
Lord, we are praying for Jules...
Not our will, but YOUR will!

Tears well in my eyes because I know
God's will is best.
Lord, don't you know... I have my own long distant agenda,
of everything working out like a sitcom
so I can glibly claim..."God did it."
(See I told you He was good.)

Agendas run amok when eternity is at the front porch.
I know this dear mother has her own agenda, let it in chorus with yours Lord.
I know this father and friend has his agenda, let it ring in harmony with yours Lord,
and these dear small children, let them see your greatness amongst confusion and turmoil.

Life is Hard...and whatever your will is Lord,
God is still good!

Please look up the scriptures Dodie Osteen (Joel's mom) prayed and meditated on while battling her cancer. I pray your dear friend and her family will find peace and comfort in our Lord's loving arms. We have victory because Jesus took our diseases to the cross.
