washed anew???

OK so it's been raining around here a few days.
For so many of you that would mean major storming and hurricane like weather.
For us in southern California...anything heavier than a drizzle requires major story news status.

This rain was no different.

Normally my boys come and go from the house to the yard at will...

but with rain...it's different...so cabin fever set in by day two.

Yesterday when the rain let up and I told them this was the end of it...

I headed outside to wash my van...
(my van on a sunnier day)

my younger two volunteered....

"We'll wash it mama!" Big brown eyes looking at me through eyelashes that go on forever...

two of the "helpful" ones

Wow I thought...what helpful little ones.

I gave them the car wash bucket and headed inside.

Now mind you I had a child who was sick and was insisting on helping...he had to watch from a lawn chair while the big brothers joined in...and he ggrroooaannned the whole time.

When they were finished they came in and asked me how they'd did.

I said..."Looking good."
while I inspected their handy work. It was much cleaner than they usually do...I beamed...
"I'm impressed boys."

They started laughing, hooting and hollering!....

They had washed the car with...

my big one used "his" sword for scrubbing and
Nathan (our gun toter) used his
watergun for
washing and rinsing the car....

Well it was cleaned...so I couldn't complain.

*(sorry photo disclaimer...I'm still without a simchip for my camera so I'm using old photos)

They need to come do my car--I drove through a mud slough to get to my carpooler's house in the middle of the strawberry fields yesterday. Yuck! Your boys are creative--I have a lot to learn from you about the boy thing as mine grows up!

Lol! That's so cute! Now they need to come and wash my car. It hasn't been washed in months.

My boys are pretty good at washing the car too, now if I could only get them to wash themselves as well as they do the car, we'd be making progress. I love your blog, its so warm and inviting. I'm a follower now.
