Wedenseday's Weight Loss update...

Weight loss update.

Well this week I've been slow at exercising but I'm putting more activity in my life.
I did walk several miles yesterday and dug out something I haven't used in years....

my rollerblades.
I use to rollerblade all the time.  I'm planning on putting some protection on...
maybe I can get a BODY pad...and see what I come up with.
That way I can roll behind my son and niece (who recently learned how to ride their bikes without training wheels) and keep track of them.

As far as food...a few slip ups on Mother's Day...but I was planning on it...and yesterday we had ribs for dinner.  I knew that would be a problem so I only cooked one slab.  All that work for just a little bit of meat.  I thought I'd be good and have veggies for dinner.  After my walk I came back and...the ribs were ALL gone.  I had cleaned up the kitchen before I left and left...I think 3 ribs on the stove...just in case someone wanted an extra one.  Well my growing 11 and 13 year old helped themselves.  I'm so greedy...I ate the leftover meat of a bone that was left on a plate on the table.  Well that's all I needed anyway!

So the rest of the week I need to exercise today, Thursday and Friday...watch my food intake and lift start lifting some light weights.

Learning to eat right is really hard.  It would have been easier to crash diet...but if you do that...the weight will just come right back...and then some.

Hoping for a good loss Saturday...

I guess I'm greedy too. I would have ate the leftover meat from the bone as well. Why let a good thing go to waste?!

Mother's Day was a biggy for me too! Tomorrow I go to Chicago with my son on a field trip. Hoping to maintain because on Friday I'm going up to Traverse City with my sister, and we love to hit all the hot spots like: The underground cheesecake factory and the Traverse City Pie company! Oh Yeah!

The best thing about doing (unofficial) weight watchers is that it teaches me to assess how much food is going to "cost" me before I eat it. I then find that those Ritz crackers just aren't worth it, and that I can only have a tiny bite of eggplant parmisan before I blow my diet. It's very educational. In my modified WW plan I don't count points for ANY fruit or vegetables as long as they are completely free of sugar or processing, except maybe steaming/baking. Today for lunch I had 4 turkey meatballs, and a bunch of strawberries. I did eat a couple bites of katie's pudding cup since she didn't finish it, but I honestly counted a point for it.
