Well it's early...but I must post

So here I am...one week into my new way of thinking and viewing my body and I can't say that I did well.

I did note some things during the week that surprised me.

First, I eat after training/disciplining/working with my middle and youngest children.  Often when I have to do something I consider hard, I reward myself with food.

Second, I am QUITE sedentary.  I don't do any moving.  When I was in high school...a good song on the radio meant I was going to get up and dance all around the room.  I don't do that or any other moving during the week.  I had time.  I just chose not to use it moving my body.

Third, my choices for food are poor at best.  I often choose the quickest and easiest way of preparing something and that involves fatty sauces and frying things since this is a cheap way of presenting food.  I'm not eating enough vegetables and fruits and I often eat fast food when we are having a busy day.

So are you waiting for me to post whether I lost of gained?

I.......

lost 2 lbs.

Now before you get all excited...I'm 5'10" so that's all water.  I'll really know if I'm doing good at the end of next week's weigh in.  If I lose something like 5 or 6 lbs...that will be about 2 lbs of actual body fat.

Praying they'll be less of me next time.
I hope you pray that for me too.

Action step for next week:
Posting these verses in my kitchen and memorizing it.
And put a knife to your throat if you're given to gluttony. Proverbs 23:2

They shall say to the elders; this son of ours is stubborn and rebellious.
He will not obey us.
He is a profligate and a drunkard. Deuteronomy 21:20

Two pounds and realizing some bad habits is a great start in my book! Take it a little at a time...you'll get there! :)
