what were you doing 16 years ago today....

Well 16 years ago today I was giving my mom a small ulcer...reducing my dad's bank account and enjoying my family and friends. We took our vows so seriously we BOTH wore white...we were doing True love waits before they had a name for it.

Here I am...enjoying my anniversary. This morning I was greeted by breakfast in bed...well not in bed because Bill can't get up before me. It was nice anyway. I decided to post these old photos 16 years ago to be exact. I think I was about to take flight with my veil (it's so 1993). I've always loved the beach...thank goodness I grew up in a beach town. The broom picture is so classic...it's like...do we have to jump. They are so funny. I can't believe we were that young...that skinny...that lovey..dubby! Now we're old, fat and have to work hard at keeping our marriage humming along. When things get ho hum in our marriage we concentrate on Christ and things get back to moving along. Look to the bible the next time you're mad at your spouse...you don't stay mad long. Happy Friday!

Wow 16 years, that's fabulous. We're going on 12 this year. Where does all the time go? I'm glad you mentioned the veil being sooooo 1993, mine was similar and I was thinking the same thing. My baby girl loves our wedding photo. She calls me Mimi Princess and Daddy Pwince. So cute! So true what you said about working harder to keep thing going smoothly in the marriage. The scriptures help us too. I like where were are right now, love him more than I did 12 years ago. Have you ever read Debi Pearl's book "Created to be His Helpmeet" It has been a very big help to me on my part in the marriage. Have a blessed Lord's Day!

Thanks for the book suggestion. I put it on my amazon wish list to buy at the end of the month.

Thanks for sharing these. Congrats on 16 years!! I'm single & this allows me to see God's goodness in marriage & love, which is so rare now-a-days. God bless.
