Cleaning out the clutter

Today we start working on the slow decent towards the holidays at this house. I found my fall/thanksgiving box and started putting away the living room "Stuff" that doesn't say "autumn" to me. Sea shells and little dragonfly stuff that I put out in the spring and summer are all going away because they aren't in line with autumn-thanksgiving-Christmas decor.

What in our lives do we have out in the "living rooms" of our minds that aren't in line with our biblical beliefs. Do we need to put away slander, gossip, and lust? Do we need to work on having a joyful heart? What about a mind that thinks on the Godly things and not so much to what's on tv?

There are many things that we could have in our lives...but we have to really cut out the clutter that rules our minds and keep it a clean space for the things of God.

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Phil 4:8

Micah 6:8 He has showed you, O man, what is good.
And what does the LORD require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly with your God.
