random sad church happenings...

Phone calls.
Text.
Facebook.
Blogs.
Emails....
can all make my day.
But when an text comes in at 6:30 in the morning...
and it's not from my friend in Atlanta.
It can't be good.

It's not.
Church matters again!

We've purposed we're going to stay out of it...
some little verse in Proverbs says that...
if a matter isn't yours...
STAY OUT OF IT!
But I want to get in it Lord...
jump around and put in my two cents.
But I can't.
But I won't take a side.
That's the hardest part. Not taking sides when people you love in Christ are fighting.
Yep...that's what I said.
Fighting...just like my kids.
And just like my kids...they use dirty tactics to get their point across.
Umm.... tattling (of course it's wrapped up in "be advised" staff emails)
there's the infamous... "God thinks I'm right"...
and then down right pouting...sulking and
plotting for revenge.
Of course adults won't say their doing this...but they are. So I've got to stay out of the way!
Lest I join the ranks and get wrapped up in the fight too.
Sad. While we're throwing each other under the bus...the devil sits back and laughs
'cause we're not focused on the lost!
Boy...if I had a belt big enough...
some folks need a whippin! and then hug and make up!

I don't want to answer my phone anymore...but I will...
'cause if it wasn't for God's grace...I could/would be fighting too!
Blessings.

That's hard to want to stay out of it, but you are right by doing so. What matters is, is that God knows exactly what went down. They will ultimately have to answer to Him for their actions.

I'm so glad to be ignorant of what's going on. I can still pray though.
Remember, Christians should have a tough hide and a tender heart.

That's the problem Bethany...we should have a tough hide for the "outside"...people we aren't church family with...but we can't make martyrs out of everyone whose a leader and makes a mistake. We need to have a tender heart. I just don't want to see people leave when God can take problems and bring people through them. I of course have to stay out of it...'cause it's not my fight...but I want to meddle....meddle I tell ya!
