Let's not forget the really important points of a man who struggled for equality.
He was a dad...
who struggled with missing baseball games.
He was a minister...
who longed to see souls saved and not just equal.
He was a husband...
who had a marriage sometimes on rocky ground due to "civil activities".
He was a man
who
served
THE ALMIGHTY GOD!
In his sermon that eluded to him dying he said at his funeral he didn't want any accomplishments to be listed. He only wanted people to know...
that he fed the hungry,
clothed the naked,
and cared for the sick.
Words from Jesus Christ.
From a man who lived for Jesus...
and now lives with Jesus in heaven!
Oh for our lives to be ones where we fed the hungry, clothed the naked and cared for the sick!
Oh that our lives would be ones lived for the Lord.

A beautiful tribute to a wonderful man...
Amen to this post, Lorrie!
I love that God will use us to do great things, even if we are imperfect, if we will only serve Him!
