Sunny day turned...and quick!

So after 16 years of marriage...

3 children

years of dating...

and celebrating 21 birthdays nope...23 birthdays with me.

I finally got him...

in my dad's boat.

The day started off beautiful.

All he had to do was ride his bike around the beautiful shore...

and hang out.

But I had grander ideas.

Fish with us.

Boat with us.

Come with us.

This is the same man who told me...I'll marry you but I'm not into

water...swimming....snorkling like you!

So it's not like I didn't know.

Please note you see the tour boats coming

IN to shore...and no boats except my dad's is going out.

They said rain TOMORROW...not today!

Bill don't worry...

my dad traded in his old boat for something smaller...

but we all can still fit!

But what I didn't know...

is he must have prayed some bad weather to get in the mix...

a swell came up...and out of all the gang in the boat....who got the wettest...

the coldest and was worried about going overboard?

my poor hubby!

We were rocking and rolling and couldn't even fish....we got back to shore quick!

That was Friday...so I told him I wanted to post this and please come read it...
so he read a little and said..."It's fine...I guess."

Something told me to ask him...
"Did you read the whole blog?"

He admitted, ..."Nope, isn't that for women!"

"But it's about you...I didn't want you to feel bad because I'm talking about your weaknesses."

And he quipped..."The only weakness I showed...
was letting you get me in that boat!"

Note ladies...if you're husband doesn't like something...
don't force him to do it!

He might have God and all of nature on his side.

Aww! Well if he was able to overcome the obstacle of getting in the boat and surviving crummy weather, surely he can do it on a calm sunny day next time:)

Well, now you just need to wait for a super sunny day! He's done it once and survived, so he can do it again!
