Have you read...

When was the last time you just sad down...
and read...God's word.

Nope...not for Sunday School, Awana, bible study or the like...
Not for what you're teaching or trying to prepare...

but just

read
God's
word
for enjoyment...

for comfort, for uplifting your arms in the desert.

God's word is powerful...

My boys love swords...may they come to love the sword that cuts deeper than a two edge.

May the leader of my family find rest and contentment in God's word.

May I scurry around our house focus on it's words and not the world's worry.

Praise the Lord for His word.
Blessings.

Have a blessed Sunday!

I think it is possible to "study" the Word overly much, to take all the joy out of it. God's word is His conversation with us, and it is refreshing to read it as such and meditate on it, as you would think about a conversation you had with a good friend on the phone.

Amen to that, Lorrie!! There have been many times when I read just so I don't feel guilty about not reading. It shouldn't be like that, I know. Thanks for these words. I needed to read them!

I read yesterday. It wasn't the bible. However, it was certainly a good book - full of true knowledge. It gave me the boost of energy I needed mentally to carry out the rest of my day.

Anywho, thanks for posting and have a blessed day - everyday! Also, thanks for visiting my site and following me.

Hi Lorrie, I must admit, I don't read God's word very often, but at times I take the bible, make myself comfortable and have a good read and I do find the bible a very good read. A good reminder to us all Lorrie . . have a blessed week:)

Oh Lorrie...the comment you left me brought tears to my eyes! Thank you so much, from the bottom of my heart.
I am feeling so down today, pondering many things. Your prayers are such a blessing to me. It's amazing how the Lord works and works us together for His good. I am blessed to know you!
