Please READ...warning...PLEASE read....warning!

OK...note to self...
don't think...
you can take 1 - 3rd graders...
and use the sermon as a jumping off point...
if
the
lesson
is about
THE HOLY SPIRIT...

First of all...I should have accessed the situation...I was heavy on 1st and 2nd graders...
Normally...I would adapt...
but after being excited over the verses we were in...

the excitement got the better of me.

There sat children...in their Sunday finery...
wide eyed...
excited that Ms. Lorrie was giving the lesson.

There sat children...in their Sunday finery...
wide eyed in utter confusion.

For some reason, even unknown to myself...I plowed on.

I think after we were done...I only had two kids out of a room of them who even understood what was being said.

Next week...
we're doing a story...having a snack...singing and song...and calling it a day!

But, you'd be surprised at home much information those little ones retain!!

I asked mine what she learned in children's church this morning, after reminding her of the general topic, and she said, "what? Um, I forgot . . . . ". sorry :( they remember last week's, though, they were still talking about it during sunday school today. So, you win some, you lose some!
