Making my home sing Monday...another first.

This is my first posting with Making my home sing Monday at momstheword...
and it doesn't look like I'll be spending any daytime at home...I'm running around all day!

First, we've got a doctor's appt. for my middle one. My oldest is playing the tuba with a small jazz group at the middle school district office at 10. (his old band teacher called and asked if he and a few of the kids from last year could come...ummmm thanks...does this involve moving that heavy tuba from the old school to the district offices? I "heart" my son's old band teacher....he has the kids play "old spirituals" and they are sitting there playing hymns at public school functions...gotta get the gospel in where we can!) Then it's back home...to work on my youngest son's kindergarten skills and church softball this evening. Did I mention my husband has gone back to fearlessly teaching...school starts for him today?!

So there...not making my "physical" home sing...today...but I can have a "making my home sing" attitude.

Attitude.

Ruth 2: 6-7
The foreman replied, "She is the young woman from Moab who came back with Naomi.  She asked me this morning if she could gather grain behind the harvesters.  She has been HARD at work ever since, except for a few minutes' rest over there in the shelter."

Ruth's work was menial, unexciting and exhausting.

attitude folks...

God wants us to live our lives in the same manner as Christ Jesus (ummm...see Philippians 2)
...regardless of the job...
regardless of where I'm going...
no matter how menial, unexciting and exhausting I think today might be...

Our attitude..correction....my atttitude is to be that of Christ Jesus...a humble servant.

attitude. Let mine point towards the heavens.

Amen, sweet sister. It's the attitude that matters. If it was good enough for my Savior to do, then surely it is good enough for me!

If I remember that I am living for Him, and that He made my day, then it just makes it that much easier to live it and rejoice in it than if I think I'm living it for myself.

Thank you for joining us today (oh, and I left a comment on your vlog too), I am so excited to have you!!!!

Thank you so much for visiting and commenting on my blog. It is all about attitude, isn't it? If we would just remember the humility of Christ and all He has done for us, I think we will have the right attitude. Have a great week!

Hi Lorrie! So true!

Sometimes my attitude stinks! But,then that is a reflection of what's going on in my heart....

Well Amen to that! We have to do everything with the right spirit. It's nice that your son is in band with musical talent. I was in band too and some of my fondest school memories come from days in band with friends.
