Friday Photo Flashback.

Sorry I've been off line this week.
As I posted last week but it's
Friday Photo Flashback over at Alicia's
where we post photos that are pre-digital.

Well I didn't get a digital camera until 2004 so I can
get pretty recent with some of mine.

Well you all know I spent many summers in Louisiana and Mississippi
and my dad's from a family of 12.
My mom's family was pretty big too...
and she was the youngest of 8.
So in 2002 we went to my mom's side for a family reunion
and my youngest...at the time 4...
thought he'd wear one family reunion shirt...to another reunion.

Everyone else had on green shirts...but
my little one had to wear YELLOW from the "other family" reunion...

I remember him holding that balloon most of the day...
until he "accidentally" let it fly away.

Many tears were cried about that balloon...
and if you ask him about that reunion...
he somehow gets around to that balloon!

Sometimes it's the smallest things that bring pleasure to children.
Go figure!

We had a great time in Arizona...posting about that starting tomorrow!

LOL...you're not alone! I actually got my very first digital camera in 2005!!!!!!

Awww..your son and his balloon!!!! I know..it's funny how they remember some of smallest details! Well, I guess not small to them, right?

OH..can't wait to hear about your trip! Maybe next time you can make it up this way!!!!!

Awww!! My boys seem to remember lost balloons too - they each got one at a birthday party and William's blew out the window when we were almost home - both were in tears as I pulled over and tried to chase this silly non helium balloon across a parking lot... To this day, when we drive by there, Jacob (age 3) says "and that's where William lost his balloon"... then William (age 20mo) comments "ball? ball?" and points... guess we need to keep a couple in the glovebox eh? :) Have a great friday!! and thank you for sharing!!

That is a cute story...how funny that he wore the other reunion shirt. Oh, we've had our share of lost balloons. How about after a restaurant(and you get a balloon)...on the way home...you open the door and it flies out. Happens all the time over here!

I could be even more recent. I didn't get a digital camera until August of last year. And only then because I had Chicken Little coming!!!! Man, I feel way behind times!!!

Love reading your blog!!!!!

Aw, I bet there were a few tears when the balloon flew away, that's always hard on the young ones. The family reunions sound so awesome!
