Trains and Trials...Stay on God's track!

This weekend I went to the "train museum" with three 5 year olds...and as they watched and were amazed at seeing the valleys and cities we live in reduced to train scale...they kept asking...

 "How does this all work?"

"Who makes the trains go?"

"How do they keep from crashing?"

"Why can't we drive them?"

(My son Bry, his buddy Mae and my niece Missy)

Well one of the drivers heard them and since they all gave the engineer
the "puppy eyes" they were escorted back into the control room
to see a view most of us never see.
(Can you tell my train addict is OVER THE TOP HAPPY!)

The driver let the kids press the buttons,
moving trains forward and back, through tunnels and over bridges.
They all made the connection that each train has switchboards of their own.
It takes control and precision to make sure nothing
gets derailed or crashes with another train.

Every engineer at the controls has to work together.
They've all got to be on the same page.

Which part of your life
are you not on the same page as God?

Since God has so generously let us in on what he is doing, we're not about to throw up our hands and walk off the job just because we run into occasional hard times.  We refuse to wear mask and play games.  We don't maneuver and manipulate behind the scenes. And we don't twist God's Word to suit ourselves.  Rather, we keep everything we do and say out in the open, the whole truth on display, so that those who want to can see and judge for themselves in the presence of God. 2 Corinthians 4:1-2
O.k. excuse me for using "The Message" bible...but these verses were really good in this version.

We have to be like the engineers on the model scale train yard...
we must be in constant contact with the Lord and
others that we encounter
and live with,
who we parent,
work with,
worship with,
and are related too...

when things get derailed and they will (because life happens)...
we have to stay in communication,
dig in,
and not give up.

If you keep all your cards on the table, not play games, and not manipulate...
even though life has valleys and trails...
God will keep your life "on track."
(Sorry I just couldn't help myself with that on.)

Blessings.

Great analogy to demonstrate just how wonderful our Heavenly Father works on our behalf. The kids are really enjoying those trains, my son would love to see those trains.
