Do Women's event promote families...

"Does your women's event promote families?"

That's the question my hubby slyly asked me yesterday.

He was half way joking. Half way.

I wanted to say...

Yes...

Of course...

You better believe it...

But do they?

Do church women's organization...
National woman's organizations...
and
women gathering in the sake of...
God and all things women...

support the primarily role women are to have...
a help meet to their husbands and raising of children.

What do you think?

I think mostly no.
Wow, what an eye opening question.
How sad.

nope. I went once to W of F. No interest in going again. It's all "woman power" and I just wanted to be home with my family after about two hours. And what about the women who run it and speak and perform? What kind of an example is it to be off touring all the time, away from your families? Nope, not for me.

hmmm....great post. You know most of the women events I've went to have been within "the church" and I would say yes. They better our lives spiritually as individuals as well as mothers.

Glad to see your blogs back up.
come visit me again sometime at surrenderalltoyou.blogspot.com or thewaywehomeschool.blogspot.com

:)God Bless

I'm starting to wonder. I really enjoy these events...but one I went to last year pointed me towards "hearth and home" it was a one day local church event at a sister church. They used DVDs from John Piper and Nancy LeDeMoss and I went home encouraged I was a wife and mom. Two other conferences I went to were "women power" and "women plus God power" and left me not content in the life I'm in....just wondering.
