Happy Birthday Little Sister...the big 4...0!

Well Alicia started this meme where we show our pre-digital photos...
but my sister's birthday is coming up and I'll be celebrating it today.

I asked her what she wanted...
and she said "I love having the whole gang around...but can't we just go anywhere without our kids in tow!"

HA!

She really is a mom now!

So here we are...
Easter back in the early 70s.
Moni's on the left, probably the last time I was taller then her...

Moni and I with our 'fros and friends in our front yard
during the junior high years...

Moni and I at her high school graduation.
We both had cut our hair (remember the great chop off of 1987...ok maybe that was just us!)
Somehow I fell on a bottle of Ms. Clairol...but her hair looks great!
And yes...my little sister is taller than me!

Here we are now...Moni and her daughter Marissa...and me the proud big sister!

Well Happy Birthday Moni...
We were born a year apart...
and that makes us very close.

I know you don't do blogs, facebook or social network anything...
but I love you and I'm proud to be your big sister.

For more flashback fun...go to Alicia's.

I'm off to get ready to hang out with my sister this morning...without our (fun but exhausting) kids!

I think sister relationships are so special and unique!!! I'm glad you are just as close with yours!!

Love that 70s picture! That looked like our neighborhood! Those were the days of all the kids playing outside, huh?
