Well since school is in full swing...
For
Friday Photo Flashback....
I went back to kindergarten...
Back in the 70s we actually walked to school with other kinders down the street and around the corner...totally alone. I guess it was safe back then.
There weren't test in kindergarten...just finger painting and fun.
Of course my mom sewed my jumper...many of us had clothes that were home grown...when you saw something you liked...you made it.
Fun times. Little did I know my husband was in the kinder class next door...he was a bus kid. Every time we think of that...we feel it really is a small world.

What a cute picture! I remember I had a green, blue & red jumper. It was polyester & way too hot to be wearing.
So cute!!!! What happened to kindergarten?? I can't believe how heavy in the academics it has become...ugh.
Look at you!! How cute!!!
Yup, you're right..I remember walking home in elementary school. It wasn't a close walk either. We had to cross a major street!! Gosh!! Those were the days, huh?
That's so cool, that you and hubby were there at the same time! My hubby and I went to the same preschool, probably not at the same time though since he's 3 school years older than me.
Oh my gosh, that picture is so cute. Do you remember coming home from school and changing from your "school clothes" to your "play clothes"? Do you remember when you were finally allowed to wear pants to school? (I was NEVER allowed to wear shorts.) I love the part about you and your husband being right next door to each other in kindergarten...I guess somethings really are ordained, aren't they?
P.S. And yes, we all walked the one mile to school without parents.
Oh Erin...I forgot about "school" clothes..."play" clothes and don't forget the "church" clothes.
Your mom did a great job with your jumper...you looked so adorable!
cute jumper. I think my mom made me one too.
Too cute, I miss those days when kindergarten was just FUN!
Look how adorable you were at that age (too). hee hee The 70's made it hard on girls though because everything was so short!
Too cute!
