well it's Friday Photo Flashback...hurray!

It's Friday Photo Flashback time...where we take our pre-digital pictures and showcase them.

Well let's go way back...
Back to the year ummm.....I don't know.
Early 80s...

but seeing that it's back to school...

my hubby won't mind...

see we've got a little hair issue in our house.

Our oldest wants to wear an afro.

My husband has said, "NO!"

Personally...if he wants to look like a hobo...

I say...let 'em.

My husband thinks...(probably correct)

he'll be judged more harshly with a wild hairdo.

So I happened to find this photo...of a family member with an afro...

My husband...circa 1982.

That's him (far left) and his sisters, grandmother and a stray niece and nephew.

Regardless of this being posted....the hair debate continues.

Blessings!

for more fun photos go to Alicia's.

"Do what I say; don't do what I did :)." (parents' thoughts) I think your husband looked great in the picture.

Have a blessed weekend!

Oh I LOVE it!!!!!! Hey, aren't afros back in style?? Your hubby should make him a deal - your son gets an afro if his dad can decide how long (or short) it can be. ☺ What am I saying, who am I, Dr. Phil?? I think my husband AND son would be happy if they HAD more hair! ha ha Great pic! ♥

I haven't done another vlog because Thursday is my shopping day and I keep forgetting.

And the afro did get pretty bad last spring...(he looked homeless)...but he was getting good grades and is a good kid so I didn't really complain...plus I secretly like dreadlocks so I'm hoping one day....maybe...

Oh how funny is that. Isn't it amazing how these trends come back like hair and clothes styles. I'm too plain and I think I like it that way =) Sounds like your son is a great kid!

It looks okay to me actually. My mother's friend (in the Philippines) wears a huge afro, and he's always mistaken for a foreigner. Happy Friday, and oh, your husband's family is beautiful :-)

If he kept it short like his daddy´s it would be clean and look cool too!

Did you show your oldest? I think if it's not too long, it could look pretty neat. Can't wait to see what's decided.

I've been trying to get my guys to go shorter...they hate having their hair trimmed, but those curls just get out of control.

LOL, I was expecting it to be a lot worse...it looks like a fairly conservative afro! :)
