Taming the Kangaroos Tuesday!

Well VBS is in full swing...by the time you read this...

and instead of Taming our Tongue Tuesday...I'd thought I'd show some 

photos from the first day....

My son Bryson and another "kangaroo" enjoying the mission harbor rally and video. 

They look "Aussie cute!" "Kangaroo Logan" was our great director's son so of course he had a custom t-shirt on...I followed her lead and outfitted a vest Bry had outgrown...(to short for regular wear...perfect for VBS!)

My middle one is striking a "John Travolta" circa 1976 in the music rotation in the red shirt in the corner.  This is your chance to rock out...so take it and run. His class of 3-5th graders had 30 kids in it.  I'm dumbfounded by the number of kids (we're a small church) and my son (who's a self professed "non-singer") is interacting with the music...Praise the Lord!

More praises to report...my son who thinks he's allergic to sports, recess or any group physical activity... engaging in just that! (But he still has a flash drive around his neck... basically a 2009 pocket project...charge on my little musical scientist...well not so little anymore!)

My craft room with 1st and 2nd graders...and the best helpers anyone could have...The awesome mural was given by Sylvia at a sister church...she did Ayers rock and I was planning to do the same.  Thanks Lord for providing...exactly what I wanted and needed right on time!

Our children's department is pretty small and we were so blessed with 96 kids. Continue to pray for decisions and hearts to turn toward Christ...and can be bold enough for some of these kids to come back and grace our doors every Sunday with parents in tow!

We receive not since we ask not...right?
