We are blessed.

Last Saturday as we traveled to the True Woman's Conference...one of the girls in the car wasn't from here.  In fact she'd only lived here for a short time and she was awed by the beauty around her...

"Oh gosh...look at that mountain.  It's beautiful..."

Every time we rounded a hill or turned a corner she ooed and awwed over the scenery.

"It's so pretty here... I really feel like I'm living in paradise."

We'll I've been in this part of the country my entire life.
I know each ridge and foothill.

I can imagine in my mind where each large bolder is on my favorite childhood beach...pictured below.
As she ooed and awed I realized...

Although I don't always realize it...

I do live in a beautiful place.

Actually, anyplace where you have food, shelter and clothing...

is a beautiful place.

I'm sure people in 3rd world country view us as rich.

Where you are today, right here and now...is a beautiful place,

sometimes it just takes looking at it through someone else's eyes.

Blessings.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear, Even though the earth be removed,
And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea. Psalm 46: 1-2

I have no idea where you live but by looking at these pictures, I definitely know you don't live in Sacramento. Wowee!! Even though Sacramento is filled with buildings and highways, well.. it does have its beautiful spots :) and I am so blessed to live here. What a beautiful post, thank you for sharing!!!

I was thinking along those lines just today! Smiling where I'm at! You do live in a beautiful state! We got to experience it last summer! Michigan is beautiful too and so unique. I can show you where I live on the palm of my hand!

First of all, your camera takes better pictures than mine and second of all, you didn't tell folks that mortgages are $2500 on average. What about the traffic of the LA people trying to invade us? What about the smog traveling up the coast? What about the illegals and migrants overrunning schools and health services. You know I know I work with them everyday.
