God thinks of you...even in your pain.

"Mom...I'm gonna die.!"
Oh the drama..

That's what came from my Ney right now.

Somehow he sleep weird and now has a crook in his neck.

"MOM....I SAID I'M GONNA DIE!" Ney screams a little louder...."MAKE IT GO AWAY!"

"Ney...turn your head slowly...and lay on the opposite side...it will work itself out by the end of the day."

"BUT IT HURRRTTTSS!" he moans as he turns on the other side...his nose is all scrunched!

"Yeah...it's gonna hurt for a while."

"MOM...YOU DON'T EVEN CARE...I'M GONNA DIE!"

"Ney...let me know if things get worse." My tone was flat...

He didn't like how I responded.  From his perspective...he was dying. He felt pain from a part of his body he didn't know could produce it, he's not moving in his usual fast-forward style...and I don't seem frantic.

I jumped up and ran to the computer.

THAT'S WHAT WE DO WITH GOD!

We have a problem, a situation,
something in life that's causing pain
It's traumatizing for us and we think we're going to die.

In reality it isn't life threatening,

it's just a bump in the road.
God responds with the solution,

but we don't like the answer.
We want miracles...
we want pow..
bang..
boom!

We want fireworks and we want it yesterday.

In reality we should just roll over and wait for things to work themselves out.

Sometimes we don't get fireworks or fire in the sky, but God is in the business of always being with us.

"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
Isaiah 41:10

God is with us, thinking of us,
knowing of our situations and He hasn't gone anywhere,
he doesn't always give us big fireworks...
but he does
uphold us with his righteous right hand.

Have a great day around the house for the Lord!

Update on the neck!. Someone is now resting on the family room couch sleeping. When I told him he'd have to wear the buckwheat thing and still read for school...he fell asleep! All is quiet now...gonna go show some love to my 5-ver and play some trains! I'm gonna ask my neighbor to sit with him (she's retired) so I can hit the farmer's market!...oh pooh! Better pick up the family room...she will talk about the toys on the floor...old school retired and Irish...gotta love it!
