It was good for us...but not for Jesus!
If you study the bible extensively...and I'll have to admit I'm not a biblical scholar (but I'd like to be) Jesus was in the tomb 3 days and 3 nights. A Jewish day started at Sunset. So if you add that up and he resurrected on Sunday...He was crucified on Thursday folks...Not Friday! Oh some are you are already saying...no not Thursday but Wednesday. That can't be either. That would be too many nights.
Bottom line is
every ugly thought,
every racist action,
every child beat from abusive parents,
every husband who's cheated on his wife,
every wife who's ever cheated on her husband,
the young 5 year old girl raped in Sudan or San Diego,
the hungry boy in Dafar or Dallas,
the lonely mother left in the nursing home with kids down the street,
the pious church worker trying to earn their salvation with human striving,
every sinful thought,
every sinful action,
multiplied millions of times
by every human
put on Jesus on the cross
He bore them all for us.
To save us all from ourselves, hell and most importantly
separation from a loving just God.
